Ourshelves is a place where writers from the legendary feminist publishing house Virago will talk about their cultural worlds. Host Lucy Scholes will be diving into writers’ bookshelves, record collections and recollections to discover what inspires them.
We want to know how the books our writers read, the films they watch and the music they listen to inform, celebrate and challenge their perspectives as writers and feminists. Each episode is current, personal, energetic – the authors talk about their own writing, but also what’s inspiring them in the world today.
